By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to information collected through the Site, including inquiry and contact forms. It does not apply to information exchanged in the course of a formal client engagement, which is instead governed by the written services agreement, applicable procurement regulations, and any project-specific data handling or cybersecurity requirements, including those applicable to controlled unclassified information (CUI) or federal contract data as agreed to separately with that client.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you submit an inquiry, contact form, or request through the Site, we may collect:

  • Name, title, and organization or agency affiliation

  • Email address and phone number

  • Project details, location, or scope information you choose to include

  • Any other information you voluntarily submit in the body of your message

As stated in our Terms and Conditions, you should not submit sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers or financial account data) through the Site.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information may be collected automatically, including:

  • IP address, browser type, and device or operating system information

  • Pages viewed, time on page, and referring or exit URLs

  • General geographic location inferred from IP address

This information is typically collected through server logs and analytics tools and is used in aggregate to understand Site usage and improve performance.

3.3 Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to support basic functionality and analytics. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings; doing so may affect certain Site features. The Site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries and evaluate potential project engagements

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site

  • Understand aggregate Site usage and traffic patterns

  • Communicate with you about your inquiry or our services

  • Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations

We do not use information submitted through the Site for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With Stanton Engineering personnel who need the information to respond to your inquiry

  • With service providers who support Site operation (such as hosting, email, or analytics providers), under obligations to protect the information

  • When required by law, subpoena, or governmental request, including requests related to federal contracting or oversight

  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Stanton Engineering, our clients, or others

  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections

6. Government and Institutional Client Data

Stanton Engineering serves federal agencies, the Department of Defense, healthcare systems, municipalities, and other institutional clients. Information submitted through the Site by government representatives is handled in accordance with this Policy. Any controlled unclassified information (CUI), procurement-sensitive data, or other regulated project information is not to be submitted through general Site inquiry forms and is instead exchanged only through the secure channels and procedures established in a formal engagement, consistent with applicable federal acquisition regulations and agency-specific requirements.

7. Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information submitted through the Site from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain information submitted through the Site for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, maintain business records, and comply with applicable legal, tax, or contractual retention requirements. Information related to a formal client engagement is retained in accordance with the retention terms of the applicable services agreement and any governing procurement regulations.

9. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you, and the right to opt out of certain uses. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 13. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

Because Stanton Engineering's Site is directed primarily toward government and institutional inquiries rather than consumer transactions, many state privacy law thresholds may not apply to our processing activities; we nonetheless honor reasonable requests consistent with this Policy.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for business, government, and professional audiences and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. This Policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
